Machu Picchu: Tolerance Times Modified During High Season
Machu Picchu: The protocols for managing visits to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu have been updated, introducing a significant change in the tolerance times for entry.
According to the new regulations published today, visitors will now have a tolerance of up to 45 minutes regarding their scheduled entry time during the high season, an adjustment that increases the previously established 30 minutes for any season.
This change responds to concerns expressed by tour operators about the logistical challenges they face due to the high flow of tourists, especially during the months of highest demand. During the low season, the 30-minute tolerance will remain in place.
